- Assist nonprofits with filling open positions, including full-time, part-time and temporary staff
- Assist board with recruitment decisions, including job description and determining appropriate skillset required
- Utilize online recruitment system to post open positions and increase applicant pool
- Narrow applicant pool to most qualified candidates
- Conduct interviews, background checks and reference checks
- Research and provide wage recommendations
- Schedule pre-employment drug screening
- Provide reports on employee turnover compared to industry averages
Benefit Plan Design
- Design, implement and manage benefit plan; includes researching plan options and associated costs, as well as meeting with insurance companies
- Prepare necessary documents, educate employees on benefits, answer employee questions and assist with sign-up process
Compliance
- Consult on personnel file requirements
- Consult on federal and state employment law and regulatory compliance (FMLA, FLSA, immigration law)
- Review and provide recommendation on employee manuals, policies and procedures
- Provide supervisory training
- Design and provide employee exit interviews
- Manage organizational chart and job classification guides
- Consult on volunteer and intern management
