When people hear the words child welfare they may picture professionals working directly with children and families. They may think of case managers visiting homes, clinicians supporting children, foster parent recruiters connecting families with opportunities or residential staff creating safe spaces for children in their care.
But child welfare is much bigger than the roles most people see.
Behind every child, family, foster parent and program is a team of dedicated professionals working together to make a difference. From technology and finance to human resources and facilities, every role matters and every person contributes to the mission.
During Child Welfare Workforce Month we are celebrating the incredible people across our organization who make this work possible.
CELEBRATING EVERY TEAM
Case Management: Walking Alongside Children and Families
Case managers are often at the heart of the child welfare journey. They advocate, coordinate services, build relationships and help children and families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. Their work requires compassion, resilience and unwavering commitment to the well-being of every child.
Clinical Assessment Services: Understanding the Whole Child
Our Clinical Assessment Services team brings expertise and compassion to understanding the unique needs of children and families. Their work helps inform care and connect individuals with services and support that can help them thrive.
Data Entry: The Details Behind the Difference
Accurate information matters. Our Data Entry team helps ensure important information is organized, recorded and available to the people who need it. While their work may happen behind the scenes it supports informed decisions and effective services every day.
Facilities Management: Creating Spaces That Support the Mission
Our Facilities Management team helps ensure the spaces where people work and children receive services are safe, functional and welcoming. Their behind-the-scenes work creates the foundation for so much of what happens every day.
Finance: Making the Mission Possible
Our Finance team helps keep the organization financially strong and accountable. Their careful work with budgets, resources and financial operations helps ensure our teams have what they need to carry out our mission.
Foster Parent Recruitment: Finding Families Who Say Yes
Our Foster Parent Recruitment team helps find, educate and connect caring individuals and families who are willing to open their homes and their hearts. They help prospective foster parents take those first important steps toward making a difference in a child’s life.
Fund Development: Connecting Generosity to Purpose
Our Fund Development team helps connect generous supporters with opportunities to make a difference. Through relationships, fundraising and stewardship they help turn community support into resources that can benefit children and families.

Great work starts with great people. Our Human Resources team helps recruit, welcome, support and develop the employees who make our mission possible. They help create a workplace where people can grow while doing meaningful work.
Learning and Development: Equipping Our Teams
Our Learning and Development team helps turn knowledge into action. Through training, education and professional development they equip employees with the skills and confidence they need to serve children, families and communities.
Marketing: Telling Our Story
Our Marketing team helps connect people to our mission. Through storytelling, communications, campaigns and creative work they help our communities understand the impact of child welfare and the people behind the work.
Program Development & Grant Writing: Turning Ideas Into Impact
Big ideas need support to become reality. Our Program Development & Grant Writing team helps identify opportunities, develop programs and secure resources that allow us to expand services and create greater impact for children and families.
Residential & Treatment Facilities: Creating Safety and Stability
Our Residential & Treatment Facilities teams provide care, structure and support for children and young people who need specialized services. Every interaction is an opportunity to create safety, build trust and remind a child that they are valued.
Software: Building Tools That Move Us Forward
Our Software team uses technology to solve problems, improve processes and help our teams work more effectively. Their work may happen behind a screen but its impact reaches employees, programs and the children and families we serve.
One Mission. Many Roles. One Incredible Team.
Child welfare does not happen because of one person or one department.
It happens because all of us bring our skills, experience, compassion and purpose to the work.
Some of us work directly with children. Some support the people who do. Some keep the technology running, the finances organized, the facilities safe, the programs growing or the stories being told.
Every role is connected.
Every contribution matters.
And behind every successful moment in child welfare is a team of people who chose to show up and make a difference.
This Child Welfare Workforce Month we celebrate every person and every team who helps move our mission forward.
Thank you for the work you do, the purpose you bring and the difference you make every day.
The work is hard. The why is worth it.
